Ancient Chinese masterpiece in a woodblock print.
Made here in Perth with zero-emission inks rendered into locally sourced repurposed timbers.
This masterpiece of Chinese Song dynasty art was completed by Emperor Huizong in the early 1100s, sometime after 1112 when a great flock of the birds descended on his palace, inspiring him to paint.
The Emperor completed the work with inks on silk to commemorate the event.
Story Horse has re-created it with an image from a research book and you can see the book binding running down the middle.
This piece is strung and ready to hang and the inks come with a lifetime anti-fade guarantee.
It also makes an attractive display piece on any flat surface.
